Job Description:

Position Summary

The Application Database Administrator position manages, executes, supports and provides continuous improvements for secure and optimized data access from GBFB ERP, CRM and WMS systems or other multiuser databases. This role ensures integrity of the data.

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Document modifications to existing ERP, CRM and WMS systems or other databases to meet the needs of GBFB including importing or exporting data
  • Participates and adheres in GBFB Data Governance activities and roadmap
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of company databases
  • Communicating with end users of changes in ERP, CRM and other databases and train them on effective use of these systems
  • Identify and document user needs to create and administer databases, records or field level data
  • Ensures the applications database operates efficiently and without errors
  • Encourage and support users when testing enhancements to the application database structure and follow through to completion
  • Develop and maintain database data dictionary, permissions and integrations with other systems
  • Manage process and procedures to minimize or report on database record duplication
  • Develop and document procedures, and manage process for database backups and restoration of data in the event of data loss
  • Analyze, monitor and improve data query syntax to optimize processing performance
  • Utilize GBFB Microsoft Teams and/or SharePoint to document all database administrative operating procedures and process
  • Utilize Technology team Case Management system to track all requests per existing business procedure
  • Perform other technology related duties as requested

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced abilities to monitor database performance and evaluate complex information coming from a variety of sources and utilize built in software performance tools
  • Communicate effectively with staff and others on issues regarding technology improvements, performance, and stability
  • Requires an experienced detailed approach and methodology to understand, manage and document of complex systems, and their interactions with one another and the impact on both internal and external users
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in a calm and methodical process to identify the root cause, document and resolve
  • Experience with one or more of these business applications; Salesforce, NetSuite, SQL Server, Microsoft Power BI and Dell-Boomi is highly desirable
  • HTML, JavaScript or other programming languages are also desirable

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

  • Ability to work in an office and warehouse environment
  • Ability to occasionally work nights or weekends to perform systems maintenance work

Experience and Skills:

Mandatory Education and Experience

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Technology, or other relevant areas with emphasis in database management and business intelligence
  • Salesforce or NetSuite Administration Certification are a plus
  • At least 5+ years of experience working with various ERP and CRM systems
  • Digital competency, including demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office 365 tools including MS Office, SharePoint, Teams
  • Demonstrates the required digital competencies that result in the effective usage of the full range of digital technologies at GBFB
