Job Description:

The Marketing coordinator will support the strategy and functions executed by the Marketing and Communications team and be a key support to the work of the Vice President of Marketing,
Communications and Brand (VP of MarComm). The Marketing Coordinator will be involved in work that crosses all MarComm functions from direct mail, advertising, social media, website. and creative
elements associated with our work.

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Assistant Director of Marketing in the management and execution of the direct response fundraising program. Including;
    • Trafficking of direct mail and email appeal reviews
    • Supporting the Assistant Director of Marketing and Digital Marketing Manager with the internal development of appeal codes, donation pages, and tracking codes in support of the print and digital fundraising program
    • Scheduling weekly, monthly, and ad hoc meetings with marketing agency
    • Develop and maintain filing system for past and current direct response appeals, as well as marketing/advertising campaigns
  • Maintain the Marketing and Communications team master calendar of activities/content, outbound communications, fundraising appeals, and assist in tracking all marketing projects
  • Assist Senior Creative and Brand Manager in the upkeep of brand assets and imagery, including but not limited to maintaining a centralized system of marketing communications collateral for use and distribution to team members and frontline fundraisers
  • Support the Assistant Director of Marketing and Digital Marketing Manager in data collection and report creation for internal stakeholders
  • Assist Digital Marketing Manager in creation of blog, email, and social media content
  • Support with the Corporate Relations and Community Engagement team with the marketing/external recognition of corporate donors and cause marketing promotions
  • Support the Marketing Communications and Public Affairs teams in the identification, collection, and writing of client stories.
  • Support VP of MarComm in creating reporting, and other support tools that represent the work of MarComm.

Experience and Skills:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Familiarity with HTML
  • Experience with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) and social media management tools
  • Experience with email marketing software and Wordpress (or similar website content management systems)
  • Experience with Salesforce and Adobe Photoshop a plus but not required
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and keen attention to deadlines a must
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions

Mandatory Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • Interest in data-driven marketing
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or project management
  • Interest in non-profit marketing and direct response fundraising
  • Demonstrates the required digital competencies that result in the effective usage of the full range of digital technologies at GBFB.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in an office environment
  • Ability to sit for up to 3 hours at a time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment
Office or remote setting and ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
