Job Description:

The VP of Technology will provide the strategic vision and leadership across all aspects of IT at GBFB. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of GBFB’s software development, security, data, and application support. The VP of Information Technology will act as an advisor to the executive team on recommendations to streamline processes, workflows, systems, and services through technology and will lead the development and implementation of IT initiatives that are key strategic priorities for the firm. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.


  • Manage the overall direction of the company’s technology through strategic planning and evaluation..
  • Lead the evaluation of IT related functions, including negotiating contracts for services, and oversee the successful implementation of new technologies.
  • Evaluate technology trends and developments for business opportunities and risks, and introduce strategies to capitalize on these opportunities and to mitigate risks.
  • Support the identification and implementation of a flexible technical architecture to support growth
  • Leads the technology governance activities to ensure close partnership with the business and transparency in all technology initiatives.
  • Identify new opportunities to use technology to streamline business processes.
  • Collaborate with the Executive team and business leaders to identify and implement technology-based solutions and policies that support strategic and operational objectives.
  • Oversee creation of technology business plans in support of business needs and technology strategy, partnering closely with business leadership. Consistently delivers results against defined plans
  • Leverages external partners effectively in all aspects of technology, from strategy through delivery. Able to manage complex vendor relationships and hold vendors accountable for results.
  • Takes bold actions and is a change leader. Advocates for change with confidence; takes ownership and personal responsibility for implementing change, and leverages communications, goals, resources, and metrics to ensure broader understanding and accountability.
  • Provide management and oversight to employees within the IT Department.
  • Lead and Facilitate the IT Roadmap team and coordinate objectives.
  • Effectively manage operating expenses within the established budget; continually reviewing opportunities for reducing expenses and driving efficiencies. Identifies and recommends strategic investments that have positive ROI.
  • Maintain CAPEX and OPEX budgets as well as processing and oversight of IT purchases.
  • Oversee internal support and engineering resources to ensure successful delivery of services to clients.
  • Establish a culture of security throughout the enterprise.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Create KPIs, goals, and metrics across the portfolio in order to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the executive team.

Experience and Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in a senior-level technology leadership position. Engineering expertise in agile application development, contact center and digital and cloud-based applications. Technology Savvy.
  • Proven ability to look strategically and creatively at complex problems and systems and identify practical solutions to solve those challenges
  • Ability to act with an owner-mindset, responsible for all aspects of the business’ success including customer satisfaction, financial returns, and continued growth
  • Demonstrated track record for attracting and developing strong leadership talent. Experience leading engaged teams who deliver integrated solutions to meet customer needs. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a mixture of highly specialized technical and operational resources across a range of locations. Able to elevate the performance of empowered teams. Ability to motivate and hold people accountable for delivering results.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills; able to communicate with all levels of organizational leadership and deliver impactful presentations

  • Budgeting and financial management; ability to maximize resources and manage capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred; Technical and business fields of study preferred
